Check out one model here to see how the workshops can be structured as a professional development workshop that's for library staff and for educators in the community, further connecting the library's mission and services to the community it serves.

The workshop is designed for between 8-12 participants (ideally), so potentially 4-6 organizations: YMCA, local preschools, Head Start, nearby rural libraries, public school librarians or kindergarten teachers, any organizations that serve young children.

Some options for covering cost:

1.) Pay from your professional development budget outright and participants come at no cost to them.

2.) The hosting organization pays a partial fee to make it more affordable for them and the participants

2.) Participating organizations could share the cost.

3.) I can support with grant-writing. Ideally, the grant serves as many community partners as possible and funds several institutions/organizations.
